Zameer Rayani. About your life coach.

Not your Typical Backstory.
Not your Typical Coach.

I flipped over an oncoming car in a motorcycle accident. I wrote an award-winning TV commercial that saved lives. A group of guys beat me up at UCLA. I was chosen to speak at my high school graduation. I failed my driver’s test on my 16th birthday. I was on the TV show ER. A monkey chased me in the Himalayan Mountains. I delivered flowers to a former president. I had dreadlocks. I dropped out of college. I launched a failed clothing company. I took Brad Pitt’s photo. I’ve torn three ACLs—two of them were mine. I was the reason a large corporation changed their facial hair policy. My future father-in-law rejected me when I asked for his daughter’s hand. I won Amazon’s most prestigious employee award—twice. I’ve had a gratitude practice for 29 years.

Zameer Rayani, Transformative Life Coach

Hello—It’s me (Zameer) again, and yes I’m wearing the same hat.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck—successful on the outside but unsettled inside. I felt lost, unsure of what was next, craving more meaning, more alignment. I doubted my potential and held back from fully living my own life. I wanted positive change in my life, but felt demotivated as I had no idea where to start.

But I also know what the other side feels like. Life is lighter. More grounded. More positive. And filled with purpose. That kind of shift—the one that brings clarity, confidence, and possibility—is what Inner True North is all about.

Staying stuck might seem easier—but it’s not. It costs you clarity. It costs you momentum. And over time, it can cost you your sense of self. The longer you wait, the further you drift from the life you’re meant to live.

After over 13 years of coaching and mentoring people, here’s what I know: Positive transformation doesn’t just show up—you have to choose it. You have to be willing to do the inner work. But when you do? Things begin to shift. Energy moves. Life starts to make sense again.

The work we’ll do together is upstream. It’s foundational. It’s the root, the nucleus—the center from which everything else flows.

It opens doors. It creates possibility. It brings you back into alignment with yourself.

How I Got Into Coaching

Extended Version/Director’s Cut with Deleted Scenes

Jeff Bezos was standing there waiting for me. I don’t normally get nervous, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a few butterflies. After all, I was about to walk on stage to receive an award from Jeff—with tens of thousands of people around the globe watching. Stand up. Right foot, left foot, right foot. Don’t trip. And if you do, either stick the landing or barrel roll, pop back up, and take a bow. You can do this…

Prior to becoming a life coach, I spent the better part of 13 years working at the biggest tech company in the world. During that nearly baker’s dozen years of tenure, I reinvented myself multiple times, took on various roles, created technology that was used millions of times, and traveled the world recruiting, teaching, and coaching. But despite winning prestigious awards, accomplishing a number of company firsts, getting promoted multiple times, and being well compensated—something was missing.

When I reflected on what I loved most about Amazon and each role before it—which included working in restaurants, delivering flowers, running a photography business, writing TV commercials, starting a clothing company, and recruiting tech folks—it was the people. I’d coached, interviewed, and hired thousands of people across my various careers, and always found them endlessly fascinating. No two were ever alike (except for those identical twins that one time), and there was always something to learn from each person. I had an insatiable curiosity about people and realized I needed to make a shift to put people at the center of my work.

But I was scared. Scared of the unknown. Scared I wouldn’t be able to support my wife, two young kids, and our ridiculously (and objectively) cute Malti-Poo. And scared I would fail. Mass layoffs. An uncertain economy. AI gobbling up jobs. The headwinds were numerous and strong, and the safe play would have been to ride out the turbulence. But inertia has a funny way of preventing change—of facilitating stasis—and I knew I would one day regret not trying.

So I took an unpaid leave of absence from Amazon. I spent time with my family. I reconnected with nature. I studied happiness and purpose. I journaled, meditated, and visualized. And most importantly, I listened—to my gut, my instincts, my own Inner True North. It was time for change. It was time for reinvention.

Then I made the leap. I traded prestige for purpose. I left the tech giant and its 1.5 million employees to start a company with just one employee (spoiler alert: it’s me—I’m the employee). I gave up hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for zero. I stopped drifting and started determining. And it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I get to enrich lives, help people (re)discover what really matters, and support them in a collaborative and creative way that honors who they are. I never could have imagined this is where I’d land—but I’m so grateful to be here.

I did end up successfully ascending the stairs to share the stage with Jeff and shake his hand—all without tripping. The truth though is that I’ve tripped many times in my life, both literally and figuratively—and it’ll likely happen many more times. But look where I’ve found myself as a result. The happiness journey isn’t without hurdles. We trip on some; we surmount others. But when we let our internal compass guide us, we stumble into new, unexpected possibilities. And the fact that you’re reading this right now means all of our successes, all of our missteps, and everything in between, led to you and I being connected—which is exactly where we’re supposed to be.

So let’s not wonder what could have been. Let’s get to work on creating a more positive and fulfilling life centered around your Inner True North.

Coaching Philosophy

Coaching Philosophy

I believe real, lasting transformation doesn’t come from fixing what’s broken—it comes from rediscovering what’s already wise, strong, and whole within you.

This is coaching designed for positive transformation—not as a fleeting mood, but as a powerful, proven catalyst for change.

Positivity isn’t about pretending everything’s fine. It’s about shifting your perspective toward possibility, resilience, and self-trust. Research shows that cultivating positivity can expand your thinking, improve decision-making, and even rewire the brain for greater emotional resilience. Positivity helps you see more, do more, and recover faster.

This work is grounded in the idea that when you feel uplifted, supported, and authentically hopeful, you make better choices, form deeper connections, and access more creativity, courage, and clarity.

Together, we’ll:

  • Uncover and shift the beliefs holding you back

  • Reframe your story with empowering truths

  • Build habits that reinforce self-trust and alignment

  • Create momentum that feels energizing—not exhausting

In short, this is purposeful work that feels good—and does good.

Because your mindset isn’t just a mirror of your life—it’s a map.

And when you navigate with optimism, grounded confidence, and inner clarity, everything changes: your relationships, your energy, your results, your life.

This isn’t surface-level coaching or a temporary boost.

It’s a return to your Inner True North—and the beginning of a life that feels deeply aligned and positively yours.
